Where did the name Redwoods Connect come from? The name was inspired by Pastor Joel Osteen. One Sunday he spoke of the magnificent redwoods trees and their attributes. Redwoods are known for their stratospheric height, wide roots, and shear strength. These trees are also known for their ability to support and nourish other trees around them with their intricate root network.
